ЧЕРНЫЙ КАМЕНЬ: по-арабски «аль-Хаджар аль-Асвад», вправленная в серебряный обод священная реликвия, поставленная в восточном углу Каабы в Мекке. Во время ритуала паломничества мусульмане его целуют или касаются рукой. В 929 г. Черный камень захватили карматы(шииты-исмаилиты). Они вынесли его из Мекки и потребовали выкуп. На место Черный камень восстановили лишь двадцать два года спустя.

ХАЛИФ: титул, даваемый в мусульманской общине светским и религиозным правителям, которых считали наместниками пророка Муххамеда. Халифат упразднен турками в 1924 г.
