DmitRii Grigorovich was born in 1951 on the island of Sakhalin, In 1978 he graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Art School.

The subject and animated visual series in the picturesque works of Dmitry Grigorovich appears either on a neutral light or dark background, or against the background of a recognizable Siberian or Central Russian landscape.

But whatever the artist depicts, in almost every picture of any format, the viewer can discover a certain general strangeness, which is akin to such a worldwide phenomenon of 20th century fine art as surrealism. was always in abundance. In other words, THE WORK is common in our time.

Dmitry is characterized by work not so much with color as with light.

Silence, n,undisturbed at thetop of the water, which reflects stones, boats and shores.

Among the calm soothing landscapes stands out absolutely realistic (without the slightest impurities of surreal oddities) picture «Bereg» (2007).

And nothing superfluous, complicating vision and breathing. It seems that stylistic exoticism and absurdity of the visual series come to the artist not so much at the level of feelings, as at the level of knowledge and impressions of what he saw.

Dmitry clearly managed to soften the rigid and often overwhelming consciousness style of surrealism, instilling in it Russian (Siberian) pictorial roots. to develop the artist’s work. What is clear is that, the obvious impressionist or, moreover, the abstractionist Dmitry Grigorovich will not turn and, at least, will not want to sacrifice the newfound professional technique of writing, allowing him to comprehend and reflect the picture of the world around him.

Биография:.

Дмитрий Григорович родился в 1951 году на острове Сахалине, в городе Холмске. В 1978 году окончил Красноярское художественное учили¬-ще им. В.И. Сурикова. С 1989 года член Союза художников России. С 1980 участник краевых, республиканских и союзных выставок, а также выставок за рубежом: в Италии, Турции, Герма¬нии, Финляндии, Японии, США, Южной Кореи. Работы художника находятся в частных коллек¬циях России и за рубежом.
