Hamlet is so much better on the stage («Гамлет» настолько лучше на сцене) than when we analyze it in class (чем когда мы анализировали = подробно разбирали его на занятиях); I appreciated it before (я высоко ценила его и раньше), but now, dear me (но теперь, Боже мой)!

I think, if you don't mind (я думаю, если вы не возражаете), that I'd rather be an actress than a writer (что лучше я буду актрисой, а не писательницей). Wouldn't you like me to leave college (вы бы не хотели, чтобы я оставила колледж) and go into a dramatic school (и поступила в театральную школу)?
