'That's good.' ' I'll come to see you again, probably tomorrow.'	- Я к вам еще зайду. Может быть, даже завтра.
' Please do that,' Yossarian said.	- Пожалуйста, заходите.
'I'll come only if you want me to,' the chaplain said, lowering his head shyly.	- Я приду, если вы действительно хотите, -проговорил капеллан, скромно наклонив голову.
'I've noticed that I make many of the men uncomfortable.'	- Я заметил, что многим как-то не по себе в моем присутствии.
Yossarian glowed with affection.	Йоссариан горячо запротестовал:
' I want you to,' he said.	- А мне как раз хочется, чтобы вы зашли.
' You won't make me uncomfortable.'	Вы меня нисколько не стесняете.
The chaplain beamed gratefully and then peered down at a slip of paper he had been concealing in his hand all the while.	Капеллан весь засветился благодарностью. Затем скосил глаза на листок бумаги, который все это время прятал в руке.
He counted along the beds in the ward, moving his lips, and then centered his attention dubiously on Dunbar.	Шевеля губами, он сосчитал койки в палате, и взгляд его нерешительно остановился на Данбэре.
'May I inquire,' he whispered softly, 'if that is Lieutenant Dunbar?'	- Разрешите узнать, - прошептал он тихо, - это не лейтенант Данбэр?
'Yes,' Yossarian answered loudly, 'that is Lieutenant Dunbar.'	- Да, - ответил Йоссариан громко, - это лейтенант Данбэр.
'Thank you,' the chaplain whispered. 'Thank you very much.	- Спасибо, - прошептал капеллан, - большое спасибо.

I must visit with every member of the group who is in the hospital.'	Я должен проведать в госпитале всех наших однополчан.
'Even those in other wards?' Yossarian asked.	- И в других палатах тоже?..
' Even those in other wards.'	- Да, и в других тоже.
'Be careful in those other wards, Father,' Yossarian warned.	- Будьте осторожны в других палатах, отец, -предупредил Йоссариан.
'That's where they keep the mental cases.	- Там держат людей с психическими расстройствами.
They're filled with lunatics.'	Там полно сумасшедших.
'It isn't necessary to call me Father,' the chaplain explained.	- Можете не называть меня отцом.
