But first the Russians put out the eyes of Old Kinoos (но сначала русские выкололи глаза Старому Кинусу; to put out — выкалывать /глаза/) that he might never show the way again (чтобы он никогда больше не показывал дорогу), and then they fought (а потом они сразились), where the waves beat white (там, где волны взбивают белую пену), with the people of Pastolik (с народом Пастолика).
