Сказка о царе Салтане

Led by Chernomor, their chief.	С ними дядька Черномор.
Nor will you find guards so true,	И той стражи нет надежней,
Vigilant and fearless, too.	Ни храбрее, ни прилежней.
Prince Guidon reigns there in glory, He is praised in song and story. And his wife is fair, O sire-	А у князя женка есть,
Gaze on her-you'll never tire.	Что не можно глаз отвесть:
Brighter than the sun at noon,	Днем свет божий затмевает,
She outshines the midnight moon;	Ночью землю освещает;
In her braids, a crescent beams,	Месяц под косой блестит,
On her brow, a bright star gleams.	А во лбу звезда горит.
Prince Guidon sends his respects,	Князь Гвидон тот город правит,
Bade us say he still expects	Всяк его усердно славит;
You to visit him one day	Он прислал тебе поклон,
And regrets your long delay."	Да тебе пеняет он: К нам-де в гости обещался, А доселе не собрался".
All impatient, Tsar Saltan	Тут уж царь не утерпел,
Gave command his fleet to man,	Снарядить он флот велел.
But the royal cook, and weaver,	А ткачиха с поварихой,
And their mother, sly deceiver,	С сватьей бабой Бабарихой,
Did their best to keep their tsar	Не хотят царя пустить
From this wondrous isle so far.	Чудный остров навестить.
He, to their persuasions deaf,	Но Салтан им не внимает
Bade the women hold their breath.	И как раз их унимает:
"I'm your tsar and not a child!"	"Что я? царь или дитя? -
Shouted he in passion wild-	Говорит он не шутя: -
"We will sail today. No more!"	Нынче ж еду!" - Тут он топнул,
Stamped his foot and slammed the door.	Вышел вон и дверью хлопнул.
From his casement, silently,	Под окном Гвидон сидит,
Prince Guidon gazed at the sea.	Молча на море глядит:
Scarce a ripple stirred the deep	Не шумит оно, не хлещет,
As it sighed as though in sleep.	Лишь едва, едва трепещет,
On the far horizon blue	И в лазоревой дали
Sails came one by one in view.	Показались корабли:
Tsar Saltan's fleet, at long last, O'er the seas was sailing fast.	По равнинам Окияна Едет флот царя Салтана.
At this sight, Guidon rushed out,	Князь Гвидон тогда вскочил,
